    At least these city folks know how to get tourists' attention! The City of Tokyo has announced an interesting anime project which will hopefully reel in more visitors to the area. The guys are planning to make anime about various city locations.

  • More Manga Genres

    I recently talked about the various genres you can expect to find in anime and manga. They were a basic description of the first few (safe) ones I could come up with. Well two separate incidents made me think it was time for another genre list. First there was a chat with a friend about women reading male-oriented romances which lead to a yaoi discussion. The second incident there was the slightly bizarre request for the more daring genres. Ookay! I might not be explaining ecchi in great detail but I think another list might help at this point.

  • Holiday Reading/Viewing List

    Stop - Holiday Time!Stop - Holiday Time!

    I've been thinking of recommending a few manga/anime names in time for the holiday period. But coming up with a theme was difficult. Should I throw in shows/episodes set in the Christmas period? Or should I stick to listing stories that will make folks happy? Well, so I went for a bit of both. The one thing all stories have in common is that all of them have a wonderful message about love, life and finding your innerself.

Sure enough, it is quite common in these media forms but how is it treated? I've become accustomed to seeing them but I've never thought about the way it is presented. Until now that is.
